We match client requirements with development solutions, manage the design and approval process in- house, and fund development projects from internal and external sources (via its access to equity and bank debt).This allows us to construct quality buildings with high-end fitouts, deliver a premium product to specification on time and within budget, and manage lessee businesses and completed property developments.

  • Identify

    GWH Build has established a strong network of relationships with the key groups required to successfully deliver development projects for our clients.

    Our team seeks to develop direct relationships with local and national clients and to gain an understanding of their property development requirements. In addition, the company maintains strong working relationships with other relevant groups including commercial property agents, commercial property valuers, the major banks, and sources of equity finance.

    The combination of these relationships allows GWH Build to match client requirements for a development project with solutions to the key issues – site selection, development planning, construction and funding. Our ability to identify a holistic solution to client requirements is particularly highly valued by national clients seeking roll-out opportunities along the Eastern Seaboard.

  • Design & Approve

    GWH Build takes an integrated and pragmatic approach to the pre-construction phase of development with access to specialist architects, planning consultants, surveyors, and engineers from within the in-house development management team.

    Our in-house capabilities allow us to form a timely view as to the suitability of a site for our client’s requirements and to deliver the optimal design outcome for selected sites. GWH Build is also able to maintain  a strong focus on the pre-construction phase, which allows the entire process to run effectively.

  • Fund

    GWH Build has a strong track record in funding developments for clients, having successfully funded a range of developments with external debt and equity (via both joint ventures and syndicates).

    The company is currently developing Mercure Newcastle Airport (development value of $22m) which is expected to be completed in June 2015. GWH Build assembled a syndicate of investors to fund land acquisition and hotel construction and to hold the hotel property. GWH Build also arranged the bank debt to fund the development.

    The company maintains active dialogue with potential sources of equity finance and the four major banks. These relationships, along with the relationships with valuers and agents, allow GWH Build to form an accurate and timely view on funding availability for development projects and the optimal funding strategy for a project.

    GWH Build’s business was founded on a strong capacity for delivering results that consistently exceed expectations. The company has a strong track record of delivering construction projects to client specification on time and within budget.

  • Manage

    GWH Build operates lessee businesses and manages completed developments.

    GWH Build have developed the Mercure Maitland in 2007 and successfully operated the Mercure (Accor) franchise for five years to 2012 (when the development was divested). The company is currently developing the Mercure Newcastle Airport and will operate the Mercure (Accor) franchise on completion.

    GWH Build developed four Coles-anchored neighbourhood shopping centres in Rutherford, Tanilba Bay, Gunnedah and Old Bar in 2006 and managed three of these centres for eight years to 2014 (when the centres were divested). GWH Build has also previously operated three Bulky Goods centres – Bathurst Supa Centre, Thornton Supa Centre and Hunter Supa Centre.

    We are currently developing a Storage King facility at North Wyong, which has a development value of approximately $4m. GWH Build expects to operate the business under a Management Agreement with Storage King.
